Six Sigma Champions are the key to Six Sigma success within an organization.  Champion's roles and responsibilities include the selection, coaching and mentoring of Six Sigma project managers, (Black Belts, Green Belts, etc), as well as the identification, scoping and proactive sponsoring of Six Sigma projects and project teams.  To be effective in this role, Champions must have broad knowledge of the Sigma methodology, an understanding of the project roadmap that their project managers will follow, as well as ensure the strategic alignment of their projects with organizational goals and objectives.
